Case Packers

Carton Erector

Flat blank to case.

Flat-folded blanks are picked from the magazine, opened, squared and bottom-sealed — a formed case is presented to the packing line every six seconds.

How It Works

The sequence

1

Load blanks

Flat-folded blanks are loaded by hand into the carton magazine.

2

Pick & transfer

A vacuum suction system picks one blank and transfers it to the forming station.

3

Open & square

The blank is opened and positively squared to establish carton geometry.

4

Fold bottom flaps

Minor flaps fold inward, then the major flaps, ready for closure.

5

Seal the bottom

Sealed with adhesive tape or hot-melt glue, to machine configuration.

6

Discharge

The erected, bottom-sealed carton leaves on the downstream conveyor.
