Junior Mechanical Design Engineer

Build machines. Learn fast. See your designs come alive.

Vadodara Full-time 0–2 years Posted 1 September 2026

At Intralog, mechanical design doesn’t stop at the CAD screen.

We design and build industrial automation systems — from conveyors and packaging machines to palletising systems and special-purpose machinery.

As a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll work with our engineering team to turn ideas into machines. You’ll model in SolidWorks, create manufacturing drawings, work with fabricators and vendors, support assembly and eventually get involved in installation and commissioning.

You’ll see your work go from a 3D model to a machine running on a factory floor.

What you’ll work on

  • Conveyor and material handling systems
  • Packaging and automation machinery
  • Special-purpose machines and mechanisms
  • Machine frames, guarding and fabricated structures
  • Mechanical drives, shafts, bearings and other machine components

What you’ll do

  • Create 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks
  • Prepare fabrication and manufacturing drawings
  • Create and maintain BOMs
  • Work with senior engineers during design reviews
  • Coordinate with fabricators and vendors
  • Support machine assembly and troubleshooting
  • Inspect manufactured and purchased components
  • Visit customer sites for installation and commissioning when required

What you’ll learn

Machine design. Design for manufacturing. Fabrication. GD&T. Mechanical components. Pneumatics. BOMs. Vendor coordination. Assembly. Commissioning. And, because mechanical, electrical and controls engineering happen under the same roof, you’ll learn how a complete automation machine actually works.

How you’ll grow

You’ll start by supporting experienced engineers and learning our design standards.

As you become more capable, you’ll move from components → assemblies → machine modules → complete machines → project ownership.

We don’t expect you to know everything on Day 1. We expect you to be curious and willing to learn.

You might be a great fit if…

  • You’d rather build a machine than just study one.
  • You enjoy CAD, mechanisms and figuring out how things work.
  • You care about getting the details right.
  • You’re happy to spend some time on the shop floor instead of sitting behind a desk all day.
  • You want your first engineering job to give you real responsibility, not just repetitive drafting.

What we’re looking for

  • Graduation in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institution.
  • 0 to 2 years’ experience in machine design (fresh graduates welcome).
  • 3D modelling in SolidWorks (or similar) is a must.
  • Willing to travel to customer sites to support and install projects.
